This weekendās Elevate Fair was more than a local eventĀ ā it was a celebration of the bigger story we are all writing together. It was a reminder that when family, culture, resilience, and entrepreneurship meet, we create more than businesses⦠we create bridges, opportunities, and lasting legacies. šāØ
From the food vendors sharing flavors of home, to the small business owners building dreams brick by brick, to the women turning kitchen-table ideas into thriving ventures ā today showed that Latino-led businesses arenāt just part of the economy, they are shaping the future of it. šŗšø
š The Impact Is Undeniable
Latino entrepreneurs launched 36% of all new businessesĀ in the U.S. in 2023 ā almost double our share of the population.
There are now more than 465,000 Hispanic-owned employer businesses, employing 3.6 million peopleĀ and generating over $653 billionĀ every year.
Latina-owned companies grew by 56%Ā between 2017 and 2022 ā far outpacing the ~15% growth of all women-owned businesses.
The Hispanic Wealth ProjectĀ envisions a bold future: 600,000+ Latino-owned firmsĀ and tripled venture capital investmentĀ in Hispanic founders by 2034.
